Ways to Support Clarence Girls Softball

As we begin our 54th season of softball, I appreciate the opportunity to share an update on the impact and accomplishments of the Clarence Girls Softball League.

Staying true to our guiding principle of “One Clarence Softball” we proudly support our athletes across their entire softball journeys. Our mission is to introduce, instruct and promote the game while encouraging confidence and self-worth, leading to an active, constructive lifestyle.

While other communities have reduced or even eliminated softball programs, our House League continues to grow stronger. With more than 300 players across five divisions, our House program is the largest it has been in a decade. We provide opportunities for girls from Pre-K through High School to participate in a safe, fun, and competitive (in that order) season stretching from late April through June and culminates in our very popular Skills Competition.

With an all‑time high of thirteen travel teams, there has never been a better time to be a Red Devil. In 2025, our Red Devil travel teams secured championships and runner-up finishes across Metro and NFL league play, and earned victories in Gold and Silver brackets at several tournaments. Guided by dedicated coaches and fueled by our athletes’ remarkable work ethic, our teams are well‑positioned to build on these successes in 2026. Travel players in our 14u and 16u divisions continue to demonstrate leadership on-and-off the field, most notably staffing pre-season softball clinics for younger players, which we are proud to offer at no cost to our softball families.

Anyone who has attended games at our softball fields has likely noticed significant improvements to our facilities. Fields 2-4 at Main Park are now skinned and our batting cage is fully operational. At Memorial Park, all four fields are fenced. Our indoor facility is optimized for use year-round and our concessions operations now offer a variety of food and snack options and payment methods.

We have carried this momentum into our digital presence with a complete refresh of our website, offering improved visual appeal and a more user‑friendly experience. These enhancements help provide a better environment for players of all skill levels and further solidifies Clarence Girls Softball as a premier softball organization in Western New York.

Youth sports survive because ordinary people sacrifice extraordinary amounts of time they'll never get back. My sincere appreciation and thanks goes to my colleagues on the Board of Directors, our tremendous House and Travel coaches, our generous sponsors, and the many parent volunteers who help ensure everything runs smoothly.

I look forward to working with you to continue growing our league and providing the best possible experiences for our softball athletes. Please check our website periodically so we can share our teams’ successes and provide important updates as they become available.

Thank you for your support and your trust. Go Red Devils!
